We have so many really cool places to go hiking in the River Valley area. The day I went out to the high bridge it was really windy and a storm was rolling in.
It is such an awesome thing to be far above the trees. To feel the wind swirling around you and the slight give of the bridge. When the wind really picks up you can't help but hold tight to the banister, thoughts of a blustery day taking you over the edge to feel the wind and only the wind under you for those few seconds before your world in nothing but water. Water that feels like cement.

I love the contrast that you feel from these photo's. Soft, natural green trees sliced through by hard edges of iron and hewn* logs.
*Jeeeesus. I spell checked this bloggy and hewn apparently is not a word. Silly me.....
